Plateco is growing, and we are adding new Production Supervisor Assistant positions to support our expanding operations. These are new positions created because of company growth, not replacement positions due to employee turnover.

As our production volume and staffing needs continue to increase, we are expanding our leadership team to provide additional support on the production floor.

Pay & Shift Premiums:
  • Starting Pay: $24.00/hour.
  • +$3.00/hour 2nd Shift Premium.
  • +$2.00/hour 3rd Shift Premium.
  • Pay-for-Performance opportunities available.
  • Additional earning opportunities as you become trained and proficient on additional production lines.
  • Potential to earn $31.00+ per hour, depending on skills, performance, line certifications, and shift worked.

What You'll Do:
  • Support production employees in meeting daily production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Assist the Production Supervisor with the day-to-day operation of the department.
  • Learn and become proficient on all production lines.
  • Organize, direct, and guide employees to ensure production goals are met.
  • Assist with employee questions and day-to-day production issues.
  • Help coordinate staffing and coverage throughout the shift.
  • Fill in for the Supervisor during breaks, lunches, vacations, and other absences.
  • Assist with training and onboarding employees on production processes and procedures.
  • Monitor production flow and help identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure employees are following safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Operate production equipment and assist on the production floor when needed.
  • Operate a forklift as needed.
  • Complete various errands and tasks necessary to support Production and Operations.
  • Communicate important production, staffing, quality, and employee concerns to the Supervisor and Management.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
  • Step in wherever needed to keep the department running efficiently.

Leadership Responsibilities:
The Production Supervisor Assistant is expected to lead by example and help create a positive, productive work environment.
  • Provide direction and support to production employees.
  • Help hold employees accountable to production and safety expectations.
  • Maintain professional communication with employees.
  • Help address issues before they become larger problems.
  • Set a strong example for attendance, work ethic, safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Assist Supervisors with employee training and development.
  • Help ensure employees are properly assigned and utilized throughout the shift.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Experience leading or directing a team of approximately 12 or more employees preferred.
  • Manufacturing or production experience.
  • Willingness and ability to learn multiple production lines.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Safety-minded with the ability to recognize and address unsafe conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime when needed.
